Sažetak

This paper presents the influence of the filler material, shielding gases and welding procedure on the properties of the produced welds between AISI 316L and AISI 321 austenitic stainless steels. Filler materials, containing different percentages of Mn, Cr, Ni and Mo according to standards ISO 14343 and ISO 17633 have been variously used for welding stainless steels AISI 316L and AISI 321 in the butt joint configuration using Tungsten Inert Gas welding and Flux Cored Arc Welding. Specimens sectioned from the produced welds have been subjected to tensile strength testing, 3 point bend testing and corrosion resistance analysis. Micro and macrostructure have been analysed to collect very important information about geometry and homogeneity of the weld. Possibilities for welding austenitic stainless steels with the filler materials containing different percentages of alloying elements have been determined from the obtained results.
