This paper describes the system of traffic supervision based on the application of video sensors in the realm of intelligent transmission system. Methods of spatial positioning of video sensor, processing of video sensor signals, the algorithms needed for calculation of traffic parameters and new types of video sensors based on CCD technology are discussed.
