The goal of this paper is to describe and review the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in healthcare. In that manner, the project is presented, that classifies pneumonia and non-pneumonia X-ray images, and shows how machine learning can be used in real life situations. The technological aspects are described in the paper, with an algorithm used in the project additionally explained. Next part of the paper describes the application of this technology and its possible impact on the field of medicine and healthcare, with an emphasis on radiology (medical imaging) application.
