The induction coils and power supplies for modern heating processes

The modern process planning, using computer simulations in design of induction coil and setting up the induction heating procedure have been discussed. Also, the few new industrial examples of induction heating applications were discussed: induction surface hardening with magnetic flux concentrators, melting in cold crucible, levitation melting, induction plasma generation, diffusion welding and crude oil production. The specific processes demand a new development of induction coil, power supply or control system for obtaining a required materials or workpiece properties.
