Sažetak

Computer graphics is always considered as an interesting subject because of its' combination of modern technology and creativity. Civil engineering is a traditional science, and it has its' foundations in mathematics and physics, which did not change (and probably never will) for more than a century. Nevertheless, civil engineering is constantly growing and evolving, and higher education study programmes have to keep up with that evolution rate. Regardless of the fact that computer graphics is used in civil engineering for a long period of time, it is still considered a modern building technology in civil engineering since every day a new application for it in civil engineering emerges and it is one of the areas which is evolving the fastest. However, teaching computer graphics to students who have limited or no previous experience can be challenging, especially due to the fact that computer graphics requires a wide range of skills such as mathematics, physics, different programming, spatial awareness, and even art and design. In this paper we will give a possible method for teaching computer graphics to civil engineering students and give examples fot he use of computer graphics as a modern building technology.
