We incorporate symmetry properties of microstrip arrays into the array analysis. This approach enables a program to recognize if the antenna possesses some symmetries and to use them for reducing the computer time. The relation between the excitation and the shape of the array current is given and, consequently, the size of the matrix axising in the method of moments is reduced. The connection between axray symmetries and some array characteristics is shown as an example how symmetries can help in the array development.
