Substituting DC 3 kV Electric Railway Distribution System with 25 kV AC System

Sažetak

The paper describes methods and models developed and used in the study of the new 25 kV AC railway system which should substitute the last existing part of the 3 kV DC system in Croatia. The method for simulation of an electric railway system contains train movement simulator and electric network analyzer. Modern numerical techniques are applied in solving the problem. The developed method shows suitability and efficiency and is sufficiently generic to accommodate different types of problems.
