Sažetak

Aluminium and its alloys play an important role in industrial production due to their physical, mechanical, and chemical properties. Therefore, welding thin-walled aluminium workpieces presents a significant challenge regarding welding parameters and heat input. Selecting the appropriate welding process is thus crucial for achieving the required quality of welded joints. Manual laser welding, due to its simplicity and flexibility, with appropriate adjustments, becomes a practical solution for welding thin-walled aluminium workpieces. In the experimental part of the work, for technological reasons, four samples of aluminium grade EN AW 1050 were welded using a manual fiber laser with different welding parameters to analyse the influence of laser beam power on the final quality of the welded joint. But welding of the samples was carried out to determine the influence of laser beam power on the weld geometry and the intensity of porosity formation in the weld metal. By analysing the welded samples, the test results were compared with the requirements of the HRN EN ISO 13919-2:2021 standard. Based on these test results, conclusions were drawn, and recommendations were made regarding the suitability of the manual fiber laser welding process for aluminium.
