On a relation related to strong Birkhoff–James orthogonality

In this paper, we discuss a version of Birkhoff– James orthogonality in the C*-algebra of all bounded linear operators on a finite-dimensional Hilbert space. We obtain a characterization of this relation and use it to describe some classes of operators. We also characterize linear preservers of this type of orthogonality.
