Sažetak

Power system stability is the basis for the safe and reliable supply of electricity. Frequency, as a measure of the balance between production and consumption of electricity, is a key parameter of the power system stability. All production facilities are equipped with active power and frequency control systems, the so- called turbine controllers. Turbine controllers react to a change of frequency power system in a way that they control the supply of operating media, steam or water to the turbine. This process is called primary frequency control. Primary frequency control provides sufficient amounts of active power reserve in case of a sudden loss of the certain amount of production in power system and subsequent frequency decay. Monitoring of production units participation in primary frequency control improves supervision of control systems.
