Modeling of Classical and Dispersion Managed Soliton Transmission using Finite Difference Method

Sažetak

We developed a program for modeling classical and dispersion managed solitons propagation along the fiber with periodic amplification. Finite Difference Method (FDM) was used for modeling the nonlinear partial differential equation describing propagation. Special attention was given to the theoretical model of amplifier spontaneous emission (ASE). The abilities of the program are demonstrated on several examples based on experimental data from the literature.
