Sažetak
In this study, the application of powder-pack boriding on the properties of austenitic stainless steel AISI 316L (X2CrNiMo17-12-2) was investigated. Boriding was carried out in a resistance furnace “Pika” with automatic temperature regulation using the boriding powder DURBORID G. The boriding process was conducted at a temperature of 900 °C for durations of 2, 3, 4, and 5 hours. The microhardness of the boride layer was examined using the Vickers method, while microstructural analysis was performed with an optical microscope. The corrosion resistance of borided AISI 316L stainless steel was tested in a 3.5% NaCl solution in distilled water, using a DC potentiostatic polarization method.
