Sažetak

Abstract: - Based on the quality education settings the paper highlights the importance of e-learnings benefits and e-learning systems that contribute the effectiveness of the higher education lectures. Among many, LMS Moodle and Claroline are the most ones used in Croatia. The authors give a short introduction to both systems and according to the data gathered in the research conducted by Referal Center Carnet in Croatia, compare their benefits. A total of 233 defined criteria were set relating to: student working environment, working environment of the author of learning materials, working environment of the lecturer and educational tools, administration, special requirements related to thee localization system for the Croatian market, technical requirements and general characteristics. Data showed that Moodle offers more functionality and meets the increasing number of defined criteria.
