Sažetak

Metal structures exposed to environmental conditions are subject to the influence of corrosion over time, so a good understanding of corrosion mechanisms on metals is of great importance in order to protect them. One of the ways to protect materials is coatings with nanoparticles, but to choose the best nanoparticles to use, it is necessary to carefully examine the corrosion properties of the materials for which they are created. By searching the materials used in the construction of offshore wind farms, the most used metal materials were defined: carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum alloys. The goal of this work is to conduct corrosion testing of the most used materials during the construction of offshore wind farms. Corrosion tests were carried out using electrochemical methods, specific DC techniques. Based on the obtained results, the corrosion parameters of the tested materials were defined, i.e. corrosion rate, corrosion potential and polarization resistance.
