Computer Modeling of Soliton Interaction in Optical Communication Systems

Sažetak

We developed a program for modeling the soliton pulse propagation in nonlinear dispersive media with losses (optical fiber). Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFAs) were modeled periodically along the transmission line. Adjacent soliton interactions were analyzed. Several examples are given to show the abilities of the program.
