Sažetak
Following the intensive work by the experts from the Institute for Physical Planning of the City of Zagreb and 15 authorial teams from collaborating scientific institutions aimed at programming an innovative urban planning approach — the green urban renewal of the Historic Urban Core of the city of Zagreb — including numerous cross-sectoral coordination and participatory processes, the Institute for Physical Planning of the City of Zagreb has produced and published the documents titled “Program cjelovite obnove Povijesne urbane cjeline grada Zagreba” and its English version “Comprehensive Renewal Programme for the Historic Urban Core of the City of Zagreb”. The publication is structured into eight chapters. The first seven chapters, along with the foreword by the Head of the Institute, Nikša Božić, synthesize all sectoral research (the process and methodology of development, vision of urban renewal, goals of comprehensive urban renewal and corresponding measures, renewal program models, as well as recommendations, guidelines, and requirements). The eighth chapter provides summaries of individual components of the Comprehensive Renewal Programme — thematic research carried out by team leaders and expert teams, in collaboration with faculties/institutes — along with selected characteristic illustrations. The components of the Comprehensive Renewal Programme for the Historic Urban Core of the City of Zagreb are: Physical Planning Documents, Structural Models of Renewal, Conservation Models of Renewal, Sociological Study, Urban Planning Models of Renewal, Property Rights Models of Renewal, Economic Models of Renewal, Adaptation to Climate Change Impacts and Green Infrastructure Usage, Energy Renewal, Transition and Decarbonisation, Improving Mobility and the Transport System, Circular Management of Buildings, Design Models of Renewal (scenario I and II), Improvement of Public Utility and Service Systems, and Identity Topography of the Historic Urban Core of the City of Zagreb.
