Bypassing fingerprint biometric system

A fingerprint biometric system is a system that uses fingerprint characteristics comparison for authentication. Fingerprint biometric data is one of the first data to be discovered and used for identifying individuals. With the expansion of biometric systems happening, especially in the mobile phone industry, detailed insight into the functioning of biometric systems, in general, is needed. This paper analyzes the existing information on how a fingerprint biometric system works. After which understanding of fingerprint biometric systems is used in an experiment with the goal of creating a fake fingerprint capable of bypassing smartphone fingerprint biometric security system.
