The possibility of photovoltaic module installation on an existing tourist boat on Plitvice lakes “Plitvička jezera” has been analysed. The main technical characteristics are given. Electric energy saving from the network is estimated, using meteorological data of average daily irradiation on a flat surface. The long-term economic impact of the system is analysed, taking into consideration installation costs and the price of electric energy from the network. Also, a possibility of reducing number of battery cells in relation to present situation is considered. In the end, an impact of boat dimensions on economy is examined, for the case of hybrid photovoltaic propulsion.
