Alternative tourist facilities to challenge overtourism

Zoran Veršić

Sažetak

The paper presents a preliminary study in search of remedies for overtourism. It assesses minimally invasive ways of occupying space. Comparative analysis involves case studies of easily removable accommodation units as an alternative to conventional tourist accommodation and demonstrates how micro-scale objects have the potential to offload pressure and redefine the visitor’s relation to resources, creating a unique memory for the consumer.
