The accuracy of the trial propulsion, measurements is
presented based on 12 sister ships trials conducted by
Brodarski nstitut (BI).
The considered series of ships was built in four
Croatian big shipyards (Brodotrogir, 3. Maj, Brodosplit
and Uljanik).
The tests were carried out on the ballast (10 ships) and
on full load conditions (2 ships). The trials of eight
ships were performed in standard sea and environment
conditions, while the trial results for two ships had to be
corrected, on one for wind and on the other one for sea
state influences.
Comparison of the sea trial and model test results could
help to determine correlation for some future
predictions for similar type of ships.
