This paper analyzes perceptions and attitudes of second-year undergraduate students towards project-based learning (PBL) and their engagement in teamwork project-based activities during one academic semester (four months). A project-based approach to education is a teaching method in which students actively learn by participating in meaningful projects with practical implications. A total of 102 students participated in an online survey following the completion of one out of two project-based undergraduate courses in Informatics at Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, Project-based Software Engineering and Digital Product Design. These courses cover the fundamentals of software engineering, with an emphasis on the design and development of web and mobile applications. Although some of the respondents had reservations about teamwork and project tasks before enrolling in the course, the survey analysis revealed differences in students' attitudes before and after the PBL experience indicating that students had a positive attitude toward PBL after participating in the activities.
