Information Systems for Teaching Management in Higher Education

The ongoing digital transformation of higher education has increased the need for efficient and structured solutions for managing teaching-related activities. Information systems for teaching management provide integrated support for planning, organization, communication, monitoring, and evaluation of teaching processes, while reducing administrative complexity and improving institutional transparency.This paper presents a conceptual and methodological framework for evaluating teaching management information systems in higher education institutions. The proposed research model is based on a quantitative, survey-oriented approach and incorporates key evaluation dimensions, including system usability, administrative efficiency, communication support, and transparency of teaching processes. Perceived teaching efficiency and overall user satisfaction are defined as outcome variables within the proposed model.Data collection is designed through a structured online questionnaire administered to students and teaching staff using a five-point Likert scale. The proposed framework also includes the operationalization of evaluation constructs and provides a basis for future empirical analysis of relationships between system dimensions and user perceptions.The paper contributes to the understanding of teaching management information systems as organizational and user-centered tools within digitally transformed higher education environments. The proposed framework may support future empirical research and evidence-based decision-making related to the implementation and improvement of teaching management systems in higher education institutions.
