Sažetak
The work is based on the conducted scientific research with the aim of evaluating active learning using augmented reality on the knowledge of cadets. The application of augmented reality in higher education teaching highlights the increased effectiveness of teaching, the development of digital literacy and digital competences that have a great impact on learning and teaching in university education, which is the subject of this paper, which considers information practices and digital perspectives of cadet education. The goal of the research is focused on the identification of information objects Located, Games, Research of the information package Active learning, and on the basis of them, the existence, relationship and intensity of connections of the created information constructs Perception, Knowledge were examined and determined by assessing the impact of active learning using augmented reality. In the implementation of cadet training, a problem related to the application of active learning in classes was observed. The research was conducted using the field method and quantitative analysis with the following methods: experiment, survey questionnaire and knowledge test with cadets of undergraduate and graduate university military studies in Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management. The material on which the mentioned methods were carried out consists of cadets, students of the first, second, third, fourth and fifth years of study, which, according to the current availability, included N = 270 of them. In the experimental part of the research, data were collected using augmented reality technology through the HaubicAR application, quantitative analysis with methods: an experiment, a Google Forms questionnaire tool and a knowledge test, which are integrated in the HaubicAR application, and descriptive statistical analysis. The results obtained in this research support the claim that it is necessary to propose and create a model for teaching cadets using augmented reality technology and to develop a model for the serial development of an application in order for cadets to learn by applying new technologies to be used in learning through practice on virtual models, game-based learning and research-based learning in military studies. In light of this, as a result of the research, an active learning model was developed using AR technology, which is operationally applied in the implementation of cadet education at the University of Defense and Security "Dr. Franjo Tudman" in Croatia. © 2024 e-Learning and Digital Learning.
