City of Rijeka Smart Card Interoperable Services based on Lifecycle Identity Management Technology

Municipal Smart Card is widely seen as primary driver to provide authenticated, non-repudiated digital identification and access to applications and services of multiple contexts. Lifecycle Identity Management Technology (LIM) has been implemented for the City of Rijeka Smart Card to serve multiple requirements: from identity life-cycle management, security and role based access management and directory services of multiple ICT platforms and resources, to trust and federation management, public key infrastructure trusts, to implementation of spectrum of services to employees, partners and constituents. Functional Smart Card implementation areas for the City of Rijeka are presented.
