Synchronized 360° VR Experience for Group Education with Individualized Narrative Guidance and Instructor Control
Sažetak
This study explores the opportunities and challenges of implementing a synchronised 360° virtual reality (VR) experience for group learning, with a particular focus on enabling individualised narrative guidance and centralised instructor control. In the context of the increasing use of VR technology in education, this study aims to highlight the challenges of implementing the necessary environment and software to enable a group of students to simultaneously view/follow 360° video content accompanied by an individualised audio narrative. Such an environment should allow the instructor to centrally control the video playback and ensure a synchronised experience for the entire group. The aim of this research is to identify optimal approaches for the design and implementation of such VR experiences, focussing on pedagogical implications and user experience. The results contribute to a better understanding of the potential and challenges of VR education in groups and provide guidelines for the implementation of VR platforms for learning purposes.
