Optical soliton transmission system modeling using finite difference method
Sažetak
The program for simulation of classical and dispersion-managed soliton propagation in optical fiber is developed. Numerical model in time domain (Finite Difference Method FDM) is applied on nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) split into two coupled equations. Special attention is given to Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFAs) periodically added along the propagation distance. Simulation results for both classical and dispersion managed soliton case are shown.
