The paper presents research in connection with a methodology of reliability and availability of cooling plant in the pharmaceutical industry. This methodology is mostly analytical and it should be used primarily to solve problems regarding the maintenance of equipment in the cooling plant system. The methodology’s verification is presented on an example of a cooling plant system with three water- based chillers including cooling towers, dry coolers, circulation pumps, electro systems, automatic control systems etc.
