Legal regulations define and determine a series of parameters to ensure that buildings are energy efficient and to provide healthy indoor microclimatic conditions and comfort. Parameters such as temperature, humidity, air flow speed, pollution levels, sunlight exposure, natural lighting, noise protection, and the acoustic quality are considered from the very beginning of the building design process, what is particularly important for the transparent parts of the building envelope. These parameters could be satisfactory by themselves, but overall indoor comfort is not the sum of individual parameters. As these parameters work in synergy, the indoor comfort should be analysed comprehensively. This paper deals with the interaction of urban vegetation and glazed parts of the envelope and their impact on indoor comfort. The aim is to propose a suitable method for a comprehensive evaluation of non-measurable parameters associated with the effects of urban vegetation on indoor comfort.
