The properties of the Adriatic Sea noise spectrum on a location in the Central Adriatic are analysed. The sea noise sources and noise spectrum characteristics are defined, and the results of the Adriatic Sea noise research are given. The research was performed on a location down to the sea depth of 40 m, 200 m far from the coast, and in a 10 Hz frequency range. The applied measuring method is described, the basic block diagram of the measuring channel is given, and the parameters of normally developed waves on the Adriatic are presented. The obtained representative spectrum of the Adriatic Sea noise for the observed location is given, and the results obtained are compared with the results of some foreign authors. Three characteristic parts of the Adriatic Sea noise spectrum are described. In the end, the author points to the state-of-the-art in the area of the Adriatic Sea noise research. The paper represents a contribution to the modelling of acoustical properties of particular Adriatic Sea locations.
