A special feature in selective laser sintering of metals (one of additive manufactruring process) is the possibility of optimizing the structure, i.e. making cellular structures without affecting the mechanical properties, especially strength. However, it is necessary to adjust the processing parameters (such as laser power, laser beam speed, hatch distance, layer height, laser scanning strategy, chamber temperature and energy density) to maintain these mechanical properties. In this paper, a comparison of two laser scanning strategies: “NoPattern” and “Stripes” and their influence on compression properties was made. Furthermore, the test specimens were not made with full density, but a cellular gyroid structure without an outer membrane was tested. The results showed that the selected 3D printing scanning strategies do not have a different impact on the compressive properties of cellular structures, because with both strategies the compressive force was about 27 kN.
