Voice assistants are one of technologies intended to make daily lives easier and more productive. This paper describes the perception of the student population regarding the use of voice assistants when searching for information, shopping from home, or using them in the smart home. We conducted a survey among a sample of n=655 students of the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences in the period from November 27 to December 8, 2023. The aim of this paper is to investigate how computer science students accept voice assistants compared to students of other technical studies at the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences. We did not determine statistically significant differences in acceptance or use of voice assistants between Computer science students and students from other departments, except for the scenario of Shopping using the voice assistant, where Computer science students are significantly more inclined towards shopping using voice assistants compared to other students.
