Sažetak

Coast of Republic of Croatia consists of more than thousands islands, rocks and islets. To connect heights established on the mainland with the ones on the islands, it is necessary to transfer the heights to the islands retaining required accuracy. To examine whether obtained accuracy is achieved sufficiently precise, suitable area in South Adriatic was chosen. On the studied area both geometric and trigonometric leveling measurements were made, comprising four height transfers from mainland to and within three islands. Observed area forms a figure that is measured by geometric leveling on the mainland side and along the three islands Veliki Drvenik, Šolta and Brač. The links between mainland-island and island-island are measured by trigonometric leveling. Considering the most accurate method, geometric leveling, as the reference one on the mainland side, adjustment of trigonometric transfer of heights has been done and comparison is given in this paper. This article is focused on numerical analysis and comparison of these two methods within which aggravating factors in trigonometric transfer are numerically eliminated. Results are given in further text.
