Sažetak

The unique combination of aluminum properties and its alloys make it one of the most modern, economical and attractive metal materials in a wide range of applications, with special emphasis on the most demanding engineering structures, wherein the corrosion phenomena is closely related to the microstructure and corrosion conditions. When we talk about the modern products development and manufacture with complex geometry, the application of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) is extremely important and convenient in the production technology. In the experimental part of the paper, the corrosion resistance of test specimens made by WAAM technology was investigated using two different procedures. Electrochemical and corrosion tests in the salt chamber were also performed and the results between different materials, welding procedures and surface condition were analyzed and compared. It was found that the application of WAAM technology in the manufacture of products, has no harmful effect on the corrosion properties of aluminum alloy.
