Use of different fitting methods in computed tomography dimensional measurements
Sažetak
CT dimensional measurements can be conducted in two ways, by actual/nominal comparison where 3D data sets obtained by CT scanning are compared to CAD model or by fitting reference objects to volume data and defined measurements of the data based on reference objects. Use of fitting reference objects approach enables measurement of single dimensional or geometrical characteristics and is for that reason more often used than nominal/actual comparison where results are presented in a map of deviation. This paper presents comparison of results obtained by use of different fitting methods in CT dimensional measurements.
