Development of Integrated Body-Centric Sensor System
Sažetak
This paper presents the design and implementation of a wireless body-centric sensor system aimed at real-time health monitoring and situational awareness applications. The system incorporates both in-body and on-body components, addressing the distinct challenges posed by each use case. For in-body applications, we focus on the development of implantable sensor capsules with optimized antenna designs that ensure efficient power radiation through lossy biological tissues while minimizing energy consumption to extend device lifetime. On-body components include textile-based antennas integrated into wearable systems, designed for communication with external access points or along the body surface. The choice of antenna structure and radiation pattern is guided by the specific communication requirements of each application scenario. The system is built around a modular data logging framework that supports the integration of multiple sensors through both wired and wireless connections, ensuring reliable collection and transmission of critical data. This architecture enables scalable and efficient communication between devices, facilitating seamless monitoring in various body-centric applications. By prioritizing robust data handling and interoperability, the system meets the demands of real-time health monitoring and emergency response scenarios.
